Chris McCoy is a DC area native with over 30 years of live performance and studio experience. 

From 1988-1990 he toured the Eastern US with  "Mis-Fit", while also recording demos and playing to large audiences while seeking a major label  deal.

From 1991-1994 Chris wrote, recorded and performed with Intuition, a Baltimore-based hard rock act sounding similar to Danger Danger and House of Lords. The group released their debut album "Turn it On" on Megarock Records in 1994. 



 

 

 

 

 

 

More recently, Chris has performed with Tokyo Motor Fist (Frontiers Records), first in 2021 at the M3 Music Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. This supergroup included Ted Poley, (lead singer for Danger Danger), and Steve Brown ( Guitarist for Trixter, Def Leppard, Dennis De Young and Wizards of Winter), Greg Smith (Bassist for Ted Nugent, Rainbow, and Alice Cooper), and Jordan Canatta (Slaughter, Adrenaline Mob). He also performed with them on The Monsters of Rock Cruise in 2022 and on select appearances at DingBatz nightclub in Clifton, NJ and the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Those later performances included drummer Billy Orrico (Angel, FarCry) and Bassist PJ Farley (Trixter, Fozzy) 

 

 

 

 

He  has also completed Studio work for Steve Brown, "One to Lean On", (played by Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM Satellite Radio)  Paul Piccari, Hit The Ground Runnin, Johnny Stassi, "Music for Movies", Stian Pian Thoresen, Christian Scarborough, Intuition, Mis-Fit, Valhalla Rising/Chris Gordon and others.

He has performed live with Ted Poley (Danger Danger), Steve Brown  (Trixter, Def Leppard, Tokyo Motor Fist),  PJ Farley (Trixter), Billy Orrico (Angel), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Steve "Mazz" Mazza (Billy Monroe and the Soul Survivors, Ted Poley Band), Ben Hans (Eric Martin, Trixter Acoustic),  Jason Draven (This Island Earth, Doublevision), Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper, Tyketto), Jordan Cannata (Adrenaline Mob, Slaughter), Chris Tristram (House of Lords, Jack Russell's Great White), Fred Gorhau (Wizards of Winter),  Andre Virus Karkos (Big and Rich, Rock of Ages Broadway), Lee Townsend (The Ravyns),  Tim Steele (The Ravyns), Kenny Carter  (The Guess Who), Tyson Leslie (Vixen),  Scott Metaxas (Prophet, Nuclear Assault), Gary Oleyar (Loggins and Messina) and Tommy Grasso (Dave Menniketti, Freddy Jackson,) .
